PAINTING HOLIDAY IN TUSCANY
12 - 19 May 2012
The Watermill at Posara is a great facility for painting holidays. Set in the northern Tuscan countryside near to the walled village of Fivizzano, it is owned by Lois and Bill Breckon, an English couple with several years experience of running creative courses.
This will be my second year at Posara and I'm so much looking forward to returning. There is a wonderful variety of subject matter: grand vistas, small nooks and crannies, markets, old buildings, small hillside villages and much more. The Watermill has a very spacious and well lit studio and superb comfortable accommodation and living areas. A very big plus is the excellent and efficient organisation and magnificent food - whether at the Watermill or at local restaurants.
I am planning on teaching watercolour but will be more than happy to tutor in acrylics and oils.

PAINTING HOLIDAY IN FRANCE
In the Parc naturel du Perigord, Limousin
1 - 8 September 2012
I've been asked to return as tutor for my fourth year at Essenac, the home of Sara and Mike Peel about 30 minutes from Limoges. What I like about Essenac, as far as the painting goes, is that there is so much almost literally on the doorstep. A short walk or car journey takes one to woods, views, lakes, villages, a chateau, towns and markets. However good the painting opportunities, each of my three previous weeks have been made memorable by Sara's outstanding cusine; simple, seemingly effortless and always delicious.
September has proved a fabulous time to embark on a painting holiday in this part of France. By September the colours are just beginning to change thus adding an autumnal warmth to the landscape.
