PAINTING HOLIDAY IN TUSCANY - Saviour the true Italian lifestyle
31 May - 7 June 2008
For centuries artists have drawn their inspiration from the Tuscan landscape and you could find few better places to enjoy your art and improve your skills than in this beautiful watermill.
Secluded, yet just a mile from the walled medieval town of Fivizzano with its cafes, restaurants and shops; with pleasant gardens and peaceful millstream walks and with stunning views of the mountains in the background, the mill provides the ideal location for your holiday.
You will stay in an elegant Tuscan house complex around a courtyard. It has eight double and two single fully furnished bedrooms and five modern bathrooms together with a large communal sitting room with an open fire and a dining-room for leisurely breakfasts. Dinner (included in the cost of the course) will be at several small and friendly local restaurants and will include regional Italian dishes and wines.
The prices start from as little as £665 (+Italian VAT) per person and include accommodation, meals (with wine), collection at Pisa airport, transport to all locations and painting tuition throughout.
The watermill is owned by Bill and Lois Breckon of ‘Castle of Park’ fame who have arranged this holiday and will be pleased to provide you with further information or take your booking (See www.watermill.net or Tel 01466 751111 or e-mail: booking@watermill.net.
PAINTING HOLIDAY IN VENICE
3 - 10 NOVEMBER 2008
Following successful art trips to Paris (2006) and Southern Ireland (2007) and forthcoming trips to The Watermill at Posara, Tuscany in June 2008 and August 2009, Mike has been asked by several of his local students if he would consider running an additional trip abroad later in the year. Because he has visited Venice several times on his own and can’t think of a better city to inspire the artist, he plans on offering a painting holiday that also includes an “art historical” element.
Details have yet to be finalised but the idea will be that those attending should book their own flights and that Mike will book/co-ordinate accommodation. That will probably be hotel based but he is investigating some self-catering venues. Prices might be in the region of £600 per person which includes accommodation and tuition but not transport or food.
Several of Mike’s students have already put their names down for this trip and he would, for the first time, like to offer a few places to others. Non-painting partners are most welcome.
If you are interested in such a painting visit, please give Mike a call for further details.
This website will be updated when details are a little clearer.
